The Nairobi office serves as the regional coordinating office
providing the required networking to facilitate delivery of services on a timely basis to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Regional lead for Telecoms at Director Level. The role reports to the lead Telecoms, Media and Technology (TMT) Partner in East Africa and functionally to the Africa Telecoms Group (ATG). The ATG is a KPMG Africa sponsored initiative to drive growth of the firm’s Telecoms business in Africa.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Regional Lead for Telecoms primary role will be to:

Drive Telecom opportunities and relationships in the East Africa region
Support the firm’s Pan-African pursuits and engage with local offices to build capabilities through knowledge transfer or formal training by our Telecoms competence centers
Identify business Opportunities; pipeline build up and sales conversion towards the execution of the ATG business

Qualifications and Experience

  • 7+ years in Telecoms as a minimum and 15+ of professional experience
  • A good track record of management or business consulting, preferably on a Big Four firm (Ideal, but not mandatory)
  • Specific skills in at least 2 of the following functional areas: Marketing & Sales, Finance, Operations, Networks, Regulatory and/or Technology.
Skills and Attributes

Strong and flexible communications skills – liaising with clients, management and staff, in person, by phone and in writing
Ability to work within a team, while also being a self-starter
Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and resolve conflicting demands
Well-developed problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills
