The successful candidate will be expected to optimize Returns on Investment, ensure optimal operations of the company and facilitate members’ and Board participation and communication.Main Duties & Responsibilities
A. Investment Management
A. Investment Management
- Manage existing investment portfolio and continuously monitor market trends making the necessary recommendations to the board.
- Research on viable investment opportunities and evaluate them including risk assessments then advice the board accordingly.
- Manage, support and supervise the acquisition of new projects.
- Represent the company in AGM’s of investee companies.
- Develop business plans, annual budgets and sales/targets with the Managing Director and Board.
B. Project Management
- Developing comprehensive project work plans and budgets;
- Coordinate implementation of the project plans and management of all Client SLAs;
C. Board Coordination and Effectiveness
- Coordinating Board Secretariat;
- Execute board decisions in a timely manner;
- Build and maintain excellent relationship rapport with directors and shareholders;
D. Marketing
- Develop and manage member and client communication tools such as the corporate website, brochures and fliers and develop the corporate brand strategy;
- Proactively engage in Product Development and Innovation of services;
- Initiate and execute marketing strategies;
E. Administration
- Oversee all co-ordinated daily operations;
- Lead all Event Management initiatives such as site visits, meetings, retreats, AGM’s, cocktails etc;
- Provide training and support to team leaders focusing on development of Business Development skills;
Main contact person with all third parties (Ministry of Lands officials, surveyors Local Authorities & Government agencies among others.)
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in a Business or Arts field with a minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience, 3 of which must be in a supervisory role with working experience in managing Board of Directors;
- Demonstrable experience in office administration;
- Masters degree will be an added advantage;
- A minimum of three years of experience of close working relationship with Board of Directors and committees;
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with a good appreciation of finance and marketing; and
- Willingness to travel and spend considerable amount of time outside the office, which may include locations outside the head office in Nairobi.
