MOTOR ASSESSOR
Reporting to the Asst. Manager-Motor Assessment the jobholder is responsible for assessing the damage and liability of accident vehicles and ensuring efficient and cost effective repairs are carried out to our insured vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Assessing the damage and liability of accident vehicles
Issuing of repair authority to motor repairers
Preparation of assessment reports
Re-inspection of vehicles
Issuing of release letters to repairers
Supervision of external motor assessors
Vetting of Motor repairers
Handling of customer enquiries and complaints relating to motor accident repairs.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
Diploma or Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years' relevant working experience with reputable companies or Motor Technical Certificate/Mechanical Engineering certificate with 5 years relevant working experience
A member of the Automobile Engineer Assessors Association
Certificate of Proficiency from College of Insurance or equivalent recognized qualification
Computer literacy
Possession of a valid driving license
Good working knowledge in vehicle accident assessment and vehicle claims recovery
Knowledge in automobile with good communication, negotiation and report writing skills
Good team player, motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
