Job description
The
job will involve the preparation and submission of completed bids to
existing and prospective clients, on time and within budget.
The officer will ensure that all the client's questions have been answered as fully as possible, and that the organisation has given itself the best possible chance of success by ensuring a professional,
compliant and compelling proposal is submitted.
The role will span the entire cycle of the proposal process from identifying opportunities; generating high quality, persuasive and targeted business development materials; to understanding debriefs and embedding lessons learned.
The role shall require that the holder actively pursue business opportunities in both the private and public sector via RFP/RFQ and advertised tenders.
The role shall also involve the day-to-day management of the business relationship with the clients. Ensure that the client’s needs are being met and any issues that require escalation are done appropriately.

Desired Skills and Experience
Energetic, creative and experienced proposal manager with excellent planning and project management skills;
Flexible, hard-working and able to work with tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and work under pressure;
Proactive and able to identify and realise innovative opportunities to further the reputation of the business; Superb business acumen and a proven track record of success, having worked on sizable bids;
Should be a team player and have excellent communications skills and outstanding attention to detail; •
Able and willing to work as a member of a team across a matrix management structure; • Strong oral and written communication skills;
Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and in particular, PowerPoint;
