Job description
- Undertake assigned product development trials for adoption in liaison with department head
- Supervise the planting and/or maintenance of assigned research plants in R&D Greenhouse/tunnels/farms and demo plots
- Collect and collate data generated from assigned research trials using acceptable statistical software
- Plan and execute experimental protocol and field layout in accordance with acceptable scientific format in liaison with department head
- Proper and timely assessment of health, safety and environment within work space
- Supervise proper usage and storage of equipments in the department
- Ensure integrity and quality of research assignment
- Any other duties assigned by Research and Development Manager
Desired Skills and Experience
- BSc/MSc. Degree in Crop Protection/Plant pathology/Entomology or closely related field from a recognized University
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with a back ground in commercial crop protection
- Proven technical knowledge in crop protection research methods
- In depth understand of horticultural crop diseases and pests
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis, interpretation and report writing
- Hands on experience in handling biocontrol agents in crop protection research
- A person of high integrity and team player
- Good communication / presentation and interpersonal skills
