Profile Introduction: Our client, a locally owned and leading media house seeks to recruit a self-driven individual to the position of Payroll Accountant.
The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that only valid staff are paid on time for work performed and that all deductions and recoveries, statutory or otherwise are effected accordingly and
remissions done within set timelines
Payroll Accountant Job Responsibilities In Kenya

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following primary responsibilities:
Collecting, analyzing and posting payroll inputs to the Payroll system;
Running the payroll and check for accuracy and completeness and having it authorized;
Ensure remissions of statutory payments for all staff every month;
To add or delete staff from the payroll as advised by HR;
Effect loan repayments as advised by the Standard or Network Sacco;
Preparing and posting journal vouchers to the Finance system and ensure that they are complete accurate and done on time;
Maintain accurate records on staff salaries and
To develop and maintain monthly reports as per management requirement.

Qualifications For Payroll Accountant Jobs In Kenya
Degree in B. Com (Accounting) or equivalent or related field;
CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification and
At least 2 years’ experience in similar work in a commercial organization.
