Manufacturing Firm Cost Accountant Job in Kenya

Our Client is in the manufacturing industry currently recruiting a Cost Accountant.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods.
• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports.
• Forecast, prepare and implement the company’s budget.
• Performs various cost analysis procedures and perform cost allocations for distribution and manufacturing.
• Assist is various projects aimed at identifying and realizing cost savings.
• Review standard and actual costs for variances and report variances to management for decision-making purposes.
• Overseeing inventory checks, obviously maintaining accurate accounts for Raw Materials/WIP/Finished Goods, Labour, Shipping, Customs & Duties, Overhead and everything else that goes into COGS.
• Also he helps determine pricing of various product.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of related professional accounting experience.
• Has ability to identify drivers of an issue and apply creative thinking in identifying and resolving opportunities.
• Proper understanding of manufacturing accounts requirements.
