The Opportunities:
This is a Senior Position, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and will be based in Uganda.
Role Purpose
Implement Human Resource strategies in Talent Management, Employee Relations, and Human Resource Polices while partnering with the Heads of Department on all Human Resource Service areas to achieve overall business objectives.
Liaise closely with the Regional Head of Human Resources on key strategic issues and cascade the same at country level.
Some Key Deliverables Include
- Provide management reports to the management team and the Board, to support decisions that are in line with HR policies, processes and procedures while ensuring sustainable high standards in statutory and market compliance.
- Be aligned to the Market to ensure that the company’s remuneration structure is benchmarked competitively for attraction and retention of best talent.
- Provide input for the development of the Human Resources Strategy and manage implementation in areas of Recruitment, Performance Management, Human Resource Policies, standards and compliance guidelines.
- Lead and manage implementation of the Human Resource Employee Relations strategy and Services
- Drive implementation and service delivery of benefits management, employee welfare, leave management and exit management in line with policies, processes and procedures
- Manage and monitor Employee and Industrial Relations matters within the framework of the Uganda Labour Laws and advise the management team for effective decision making
- Drive the process of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and manage implementation where applicable
- Manage preparation and presentation of HR KPIs and Manage 3rd party service delivery through SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Drive performance management processes in order to improve performance and development of potential talent.
- Work closely with the Heads of Department, to analyse and determine skills and competencies required, that will meet the company’s objectives, and then support designing of relevant role profiles and job descriptions.
- Required to be conversant with HR strategy development, HRIMS Implementation and balanced scorecard implementation.
- Should hold a Bachelor Degree in Social sciences and a Diploma in HRM or equivalent HR professional qualification.
- Must have minimum 5 years’ experience in HR Management.
Should demonstrate functional skills in Human Resources Strategy, Manpower planning and development, Recruitment Management, Learning Management, Performance Management, Employee Relations and Retirement Benefits Management
