Vacancy: Graphic Design Internship
Description
To produce accurate, creative, unique and timely designs handed to them within the company specifications whilst under supervision of lead designer.
We are looking to train, mould and grow with an open-minded and creative designer to aid in the growth and development of the firm towards its objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities

• A graphic designer’s job may involve managing more than one design brief at a time and allocating the relevant amount of time according to the job.
• Details account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job;
• Interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose;
• Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
• Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research;
• Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
• Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
• Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists
• Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
• Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD);
• Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
• Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;
• Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches;
• Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
• Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print;
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash; Developing interactive design;

Required Qualifications

• College/University graduate
• Graphics design At least 1 year working experience as a Graphics Designer

Terms
This position begins as an internship that can lead to a full time position and route towards being an associate or specialist consultant within the firm.
A Ksh 5,000 stipend will be agreed.
The internship runs for 3 months.
