The Medical specialist will be responsible to the respective Medical Superintendents.

Duties and Responsibilities
The specific duties will be to oversee service delivery in the following areas, among others:

• Clinical management of patients
• Head of the clinical team in the respective speciality
• Conduct ward rounds
• Supervise and mentor other doctors and staff
• Perform administrative duties
• Operations research
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors

Requirements

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Have a Bachelors’ Degree in Medicine and Surgery and a Master of Medicine in the relevant discipline.
• Sub-specialization will be an added advantage
• Be registered by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the County Government’s mandate, health policies, vision, mission as well as vision 2030
• Demonstrate understanding of the commitment to the national values and principles of Public Service Governance as espoused in the Constitution of Kenya 2010, Article 10 and 232
• Have capacity to undertake multitasks within strict timelines
• Be proficient in computer skills

JG ‘Q’ – Over eight (8) years’ experience
JG ‘R’ – Over ten (10) years’ experience
