IBM Job Vacancy in Kenya : Software Sales Specialist – Analytics

Job description
We seek a proven software solution sales professional, The main function of the role is to achieve quarterly software and services revenue targets with named key clients in this sector, while at the same time developing a strategic, deeper relationship with these organisations which will create the platform for their enterprise wide usage of Business Analytics solutions.
The successful candidate will be expected to uncover, pursue and convert new business opportunities, exploit these as a platform for the development of strategic account relationships, and maintain a high
level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Travel as required.
 
The role demands:
Responsibility to meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets
Maximize all opportunities to increase deal size and accelerate the buying process
Build a proactive business plan to develop new sales
Identify and grow new accounts
Forecast accurately, based on realistic opportunity assessments, and in line with internal forecasting guidelines
Excellent qualifying skills. To suit the fast pace of this business it is essential to qualify in and out quickly and diligently
Establish and maintain professional and external relationships that meet our core values
A deep understanding of the Business Analytics market & trends in SA
Leverage the IBM and Business Analytics Partner Channel
Travel as necessary to achieve quotaRequired
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 5 years experience in successful and demonstrable sales of complex software solutions
At least 5 years experience in winning multi-million rand deals
At least 5 years experience in working with large organisations to quickly develop a portfolio of opportunities
At least 5 years experience in analytics solutions
At least 5 years experience in bringing together virtual teams across the organisation on key opportunities
At least 5 years experience in proven ability to understand the problems of and selling visionary solutions to C level executives at Blue chip companies – becoming their trusted advisor
At least 5 years experience in selling direct to the end-client and through a network of partners
At least 5 years experience in using a structured sales methodology such as Customer Centric Selling, Solution Selling or an equivalent.
English: Fluent

Preferred

Master’s Degree in Information Technology
At least 7 years experience in successful and demonstrable sales of complex software solutions
