Job description
 
The central intercompany team (CIT) ensures the intercompany transactions do not cause any break while consolidating the group financials. Thus, the CIT is responsible for preparing the relevant IFRS schedules (KB – for Interbank Balances in SCB and KC – for Interbank Balances in SCB Subsidiaries & Other group) for the geography that the team is handling.Key Roles and  

Responsibilities

1. Handle a team that is responsible for performing intercompany reconciliation tasks, preparing KB / KC schedules as per IFRS requirements and involving in change management initiatives. 2. Perform detailed analytical review of the IFRS pack prepared by the team. 3. Perform data integrity checks
between general ledger and various transaction processing systems and escalate issues. 4. Understand and prepare/review the disclosure requirements as per IFRS and also as per FINREP. 5. Liaise with onshore stakeholders to discuss the review points, issues, IFRS amendments or group instructions etc for the purpose of submission of financial statements. 6. Ensure all SLAs are met and the team adheres to 100% Quality for all processes. 7. Collaborate within FSSC to get inputs or raise issues that arise during the financial statements preparation. 8. Prepare or support preparing the exhaustive list of book of work for the purpose of discussion with onshore teams, IT etc. 9. Identify opportunities for value add or automation of routine/ manual process and thereby reduce the non-value adds in the process. 10. Perform process risk analysis to identify the gaps in the existing process. 11. Ensure to have monthly dashboard call with onshore teams and highlight issues/ concern. 12. Participate and give suggestions in the finance transformation programme thereby enabling removal of manual workarounds. 13. Ensure that the team captures appropriate metrics for tracking actual hours/ standard hours/ Errors etc. 14. Support various FSSC initiatives across various pillars i.e. people/ process/ Cost/ social responsibility etc. 15. Ensure robust documentation of all processes and review the same once in 6 months. 16. Ensure all Group queries for submitted financial statements are reverted within timelines. 17. Build domain expertise within team for IFRS process. 18. Ensure all staffs are attending mandatory training programs and also arrange for domain based training wherever required. 19. Manage attrition below 15% in the team through effective engagement of all staffs. 20. Ensure to have effective job rotation within the team for staffs who have completed 30 – 36 months in the same role. 21. Ensure the productivity and cost save targets are achieved through continuous improvement initiatives. 22. Support internal & external audits and ensure nil adverse remarks

Qualifications and Skills

⢠People management of 5-6 members for Senior Manager. ⢠Implement Knowledge Management initiatives through trainings, workshops to build domain capabilities required for the job ⢠Keep the team highly motivated to deliver high quality results ⢠Managers should be hands-on to undertake activities/tasks on their own as the role demands while supporting and managing other members of the team ⢠Self motivated and able to work independently and to proactively seek guidance from others as needed. ⢠Strong team player and has the capacity to build good working relationships with cross functional / geographical teams. ⢠Positive outlook and a desire to stretch themselves to achieve both personal and functional success. ⢠Demonstrate leadership under pressure situations and demonstrate the ability to cope with tight deadlines and constraints. The candidate should have experience in the following functions and should have good analytical skills, fundamentals in risk management. ⢠5+ years work experience in Financial Reporting, Month End close, Statutory/External Reporting, relevant technical experience with Big 4 firms ⢠Exhibiting influential capabilities across departments in assimilating various inputs required for accurate and complete submission of Finance Statements including Biz Finance, Product Control, Valuation Control, Operations, Tax Team, Technology teams, Onshore Team and various other input providers ⢠Strong communication skills in liaising with relevant stakeholders. ⢠Cross team collaboration and leadership experience skills – proactive engagement with relevant Departments and responsible parties ⢠Experience in monitoring of Month end/Quarter end processes with an ability to quickly understand the upstream and downstream impacts in the Reporting process ⢠Exhibiting training capabilities across functions for usage of various Financial Reporting Teams. Certified Accountant CPA, ACCA or its equivalent, MBA (Finance), MBA (Banking), or any Finance equivalent from a reputed institute.
