Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all account opening instructions are duly authorized and bear originating branch stamp.
- Ensure that instructions for Account opening are received through proper channels ie Filenet & or E-ops.
- Ensure that all Account Opening processes are carried in accordance with the agreed service guidelines
- Ensure that account opening instructions are processed in accordance with the process flow and the agreed service guidelines.
- Handle customer queries
- Ensure that money laundering requirements are followed as follows;
- By creating awareness and making prompt reports of suspicious transactions using the right internal channels.
- ” Remaining alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank’ efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to: identifying the customer, knowing the customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers.
- Ensure staff are trained in combating money laundering.
- Maintaining an efficient tracking system of defective instructions sent to FIFI for rectification by the spokes.
- Ensure positive customer experience on AML issues and all AML requirements are met.
- Review of internal systems and participation in developing of improved work processes to enhance productivity and hence reduce production costs.
- Proactively identify and analyze inherent risks within Account Opening and find ways of minimizing them.
- Ensure smooth flow of Data Input unit and regulate working hours with a view of attaining nil overtime.
Qualifications and Skills
i)University Degree
ii) At least 2 years banking experience
iii)Computer literate
iv)Adequate knowledge of ,EBBS and operational procedures.
v)People Management/Leadership Skills.
vi)Other PC skills especially the MS office/Excel applications
