Responsible for ensuring seamless and efficient liaison with all programme teams and the implementing partners in the various programs of SOS CV KE to set, report against and to track all targets and expected results at the various levels (output, outcome & impact). Taking leadership in the full adherence, quality and timely implementation of SOS CV Kenya’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework and Policy.
Facilitating Results Based Management of all SOS CV KE programs to demonstrate effectiveness of SOS CV KE programs and for drawing lessons that contribute to regular adjustments to programme designs and intervention methodologies.
The holder is responsible for regular consultative improvement of all M&E tools, processes and policies in line with the changing needs and internationally acceptable trends.
Key performance areas and main responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing a reliable and consistent set of Outcome Indicators for all program activities as well as developing an organization-wide core set of indicators.
- Regularly review and improve the M&E system by seeking stakeholder inputs and through consultations with practitioners in other organizations.
- Develop a standardized community baseline socio-economic template.
- Support the development of an online M&E database, and work to improve it to become more streamlined, accessible and relevant across all SOS CV KE operations.
- Develop in coordination with the programme teams, a system to ensure that the program planning, including inputs and targets, is aligned with the overall program log frames and other types of M&E indicators.
- Synthesize and analyze data for summary and thematic reports on M&E findings.
- Develop, refine and manage the process for regular reporting on findings and coordinate with appropriate departments for the dissemination of information.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in M&E and network with other organizations for best practices and technical assistance.
- Tracking and quality assurance of all donor and grantee reports (ensuring donor reports precisely respond to the reporting indicators and requirements as well as ensuring all grantees report accurately on all the key result areas as documented in their grantee agreements)
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or development studies.
- Knowledge in numerical methods and database management
- Prior experience with performance monitoring and evaluation for development programs, including developing performance indicators, data collection and analysis.
- At least 5 years progressive experience in the development and implementation of Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation policies & processes in a multi sector programme environment.
- Previous experience in child focused organizations is an added advantage.
- Skills and preferably experience with numerical methods and database management.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Strong written and oral skills in English and Kiswahili
- Strong report writing skills.
