The Position
The quality officer will ensure that processes are in place to continuously improve the quality of care that guarantees safety of patients and staff at healthcare facilities enrolled into PharmAccess programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Enroll healthcare facilities and conduct quality assessment of services offered by health facilities using SafeCare standards, tools and reporting systems.
- Responsible for data management processes for facilities assessed including collection, analysis and presentation.
- Develop quality improvement plans and guide facilities to ensure those quality improvement plans are continuously implemented.
- Monitor progress towards implementation of quality improvement plans in close collaboration with quality teams at facilities enrolled.
- Provide technical support to the quality teams of facilities enrolled to strengthen their capacity to deliver on recommendations made for quality improvement.
- Document the challenges and successes for each facility visited using the M&E and Technical Assistance framework and report appropriately.
- Perform other tasks related to PharmAccess programs as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification & Requirements
- Minimum Nursing/clinical officer/health related diploma or equivalent preferred but individuals with experience in leading quality improvement programs are encouraged to apply. A university degree will be an added advantage.
- Management experience in the health sector.
- At least three years experience in the health sector.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders is an added advantage.
