Business Intelligence Job Brief Description
To lead and manage a team of analysts, architects and developers in providing the business intelligence, ERP and development expertise to functional owners and managers needed to successfully enhance and facilitate process improvement, systems integration & enterprise performance reporting.
Work with these team members and internal customers from development inception to delivery and continuously monitor the effectiveness of the solutions and implement improvements and optimization
Detailed Description
- Lead a team of technical resources who will work with Business Users to define and implement an integrated reporting and data analytics platform.
- Do the technical work required to maintain and support the integrated reporting and data analytics platform.
- Manage the development of a robust technical architecture for this integrated platform. This will include but not be limited to: an embedded data warehouse, and predefined but highly flexible data models.
- Provide a common technical platform for automating data-driven insights.
- Work with business users to design and develop a common KPI framework, single version of data truth, dash board views and drill-downs
- Work closely with the Business managers to design the organisation’s decision support strategy.
- Work closely with Business Users to improve the monthly business reporting through automation.
- Work closely with Business Users to co-ordinate the master data quality analysis, harmonization and cleansing.
- Continuously undertake periodic re-evaluation of analytic and reporting systems and processes, propose improvements and implement technical solutions.
- Lead a team of analysts and developers to evaluate interfaces between business applications, design, develop and implement new and existing interface solutions.
- Lead a team of technical analysts and developers to provide developer support for existing Oracle E-Business suite modules, including Financials, HR, Supply Chain, EAM, etc.
Requirements for Business Intelligence Kenyan Jobs
- Degree in IT or Business field.
- Minimum of 4 years in a busy commercial environment with huge reporting requirements.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in leading a team of application and interface developers.
- Must have had an experience with one of the market leading Business intelligence tools e.g. SAS, Business Objects, Hyperion, Cognos, Applix, Proclarity or Embedded solutions within ERPs and other software
- Knowledge in designing of data cubes and Data marts is highly desirable
- Knowledge of leading enterprise databases e.g. Oracle SYBASE, is a pre-requisite
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis and requirements capture.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in work planning and coordination
- Excellent project management skills
