The Position:
This position will ensure effective and efficient implementation of front office and administrative activities in the department and assistance of the IT department in managing the day-to-day
operations of IT systems, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of office computer equipment and Networking and ensure office workstation are properly working in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administrative
- Answer telephone, screen and direct calls.
- Represent the company as the first point of contact, either on the telephone or in person, in a presentable, efficient, courteous manner and provide a high standard of customer service.
- Handles filling of administrative documents.
- Responds to inquiries on the phone and face to face.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an appointment diary either manually or electronically.
- Ensures office cleanliness; and
- Any other Duties as may be assigned
- Information Technology
- Talk with managerial, administrative and technical staff to determine information needs, data flows and systems definitions.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate
- Check systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.
- Implement regular housekeeping procedures, including data backup.
- Manage the distribution and retention of data on various storage devices.
- Coordinate system updates and replacement of outdated versions.
- Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals.
- Provide day-to-day advice to users on data structures and terminology.
- Provide assistance with testing new equipment and systems.
- Prepare technical reports on the operation of systems.
- A degree or diploma in Business Administration and/or Information Technology from recognized institutions of higher learning.
- Hands on skills in Information technology systems.
- 2 years’ experience in similar position.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent Organisational skills.
- Pleasant personality.
- Skills in Microsoft Office and Operating systems.
