The organisation’s strategy is to participate in the entire development process; beginning with conceptualization, land acquisition, supporting development, raising project finance, moving on to construction management & infrastructure development, sales/marketing and finally to property/facilities management processes.We are looking for a Real Estate Investment Analyst who shall be engaged in analysing real estate opportunities and developing strategies for executing profitable real estate opportunities on behalf of our clients.
Job Summary: The real estate investment analyst is responsible for assessing the viability of real estate opportunities and advising clients on how to maximise their returns.
The role includes undertaking feasibility studies, market research and analysis of real estate products, market trends, demand and supply of residential, commercial and industrial property. Developing effective strategies for implementing, marketing and managing real estate products.Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Researching, analysing and providing relevant information and recommendations regarding investment attractiveness of real estate projects
Researching and analysing the property market in Kenya and the region
Analysing and appraisal all aspects of new investment proposals including financial, operational, commercial, legal, governance, environmental and social sustainability elements
Preparing reports and presentations for client use
Assist in the undertaking cutting-edge research within the real estate sector and drafting white papers
Appraise land and properties to determine loan values
Work with our financial modelling analyst to prepare financial projections and evaluate development options
Identify potential sources of funding for the project and prepare business cases for attracting project finance
Develop strategies for marketing and managing both residential and commercial property
Review property listings, trade journals and relevant literature to remain knowledgeable about real estate market trends
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in land economics, building economics, property management, valuation or other property related degree
Qualifications in finance, economics, business administration or any other business related qualifications (e.g. CFA, CPA, ACCA, etc.) will be an added advantage.
Experience in undertaking feasibility studies, market research, property management, valuation or other real estate related activities
Skills and Personal Qualities
Strong analytical skills with the ability to think and solve problems creatively
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, whilst still meeting deadlines and required quality standards
Strong organisational and time management skills
Behave professionally and ethically at all times
Devotion to the company’s values, objectives and service to clients
Working collaboratively and effectively with other team members
