Public Relations Assistant – Tanzania
Job Objective: To ensure smooth and efficient operations of the internal and external Public relations
issues and practices by coordinating and cooperating with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure that all practices are done according to Company’s policies and proceduresPublic Relations
Work with media outlets to publish timely company information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials and ensuring communication strategy is consistent and reflects the company’s strategic vision.
Develop and execute strategies that are intended to create and uphold a positive public image for clients by working, forming and managing relationships with various members of the media/ media outlets, government, and public, and assist in generating new business opportunities for the company.
Managing and Overseeing company’s events and representing the company in different issues involving the company
Assist to formulate and manage the Public relations budget and ensuring cost effective practices.
Developing and executing clients’ public relations programs, Corporate Social responsibility and publicity activities.
Advocate on behalf of the company brand with external stakeholders and the media across all communications channels.
Serve as main information source for all media contacts requesting data, insights and media opinion influences.
Regularly interact with upper management and executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers
Monitor public opinion regarding an organization or particular issues
present arguments on behalf of an organization to government, other organizations and special interest groups
Respond to enquiries from the public, media and other organizations
Arrange interviews with journalists, prepare and distribute media releases, and liaise with and make statements to the media
Write, edit and arrange production of newsletters, in-house magazines, pamphlets and brochures
Assist with preparing organizational documents such as annual reports, corporate profiles and submissions
Write speeches, prepare visual aids and make public presentations
Oversee production of visual, audio and electronic material, including managing websites
Organize special events such as open days, visits, exhibitions and functions
Conduct internal communication courses, workshops and media training
Develop risk assessments and implement crisis management plans to ensure an organization’s reputation is maintained
Plan, develop and manage brand identity
Organize and manage events, exhibitions, conferences and product launches
Procure sponsorship deals.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Communications or related
5 years experience in a busy PR environment
Should have good working knowledge of Tanzania How to Apply
