GROUP CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS & FOUNDATION MANAGER – ROLE SIZE O
Reporting to theGroup Head of Marketing, PR & Brand. The incumbent will be responsible for the outputs corporate communications, PR, Digital communication and Foundation activities of the Old Mutual Group companies in the country (include Faulu Microfinance Bank and any other new member in to the group).
The key objectives for this position are: -
Disseminates marketing messages through a number of media, including advertising, presentation / roadshows, editorial media, brochures and digital platforms etc.
Works with the various channels to ensure optimal media coverage.
Writes media releases
Manages PR agency output
Manages a team responsible for the implementation of specific and related roles that enable relationship building internally and externally through effective communication.
Accountable for execution of relationships both within and outside of the business to ensure a competitive advantage and to support corporate social responsibility and transformation objectives.
Develops a working relationship with Faulu Microfinance Bank, UAP Holdings and any other member in group to ensure synergy between corporate affairs departments in Kenya.
Takes responsibility for managing and strengthening particular relationships with stakeholders (Government, Business Unit partners, industry peers, etc).
Utilizes the Old Mutual Foundation as a CSI vehicle and key building block of Old Mutual Brand strategy.
Ensures appropriate branding and publicity of projects.
Develops and Implements the Old Mutual Foundation & CSI Strategy on the focus in Kenya
Responsible for transformation within Old Mutual Kenya.
Provides feedback to Marketing Executive on emerging trends and views on transformation.
Oversees and ensures compliance to all regulatory requirements communications and events such as timely Annual reports, financials communication and annual general meetings (AGM’s) throughout business.
Produces an Old Mutual Foundation and Corporate Citizenship and Report.
Any other duties that may be allocated by management from time to time.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication & PR / relevant business degree,.
At least 5 years relevant experience within the financial service industry
Shows strong concern for accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness
Must be a strategic thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently on projects in a fast paced environment
Highly motivated, flexible and adaptable nature.
Demonstrate good communication and leadership skills with high personal integrity
Proven analytical skills
Organises time efficiently with the ability to prioritize work on a wide range of deliverables at once
High levels of energy, drive, creativity and innovation
Good business acumen and good understanding of the market
Self-starter who shows initiative and is able to work under minimal supervision
