Job Title: Senior Business Manager

Contract: Permanent Profile Introduction: Our client, a leading Investment company in Nairobi, is seeking a self-driven individual to fill in the position of Senior Business Manager.
The successful candidate will be expected to optimize returns on investment, ensure the smooth running of the company and facilitating members’ and Board participation and communication.Minimum Requirements
Possess an undergraduate degree in a business or arts field with a minimum of 3 years experience, one of which must be in a supervisory role;
Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with a good appreciation of finance and marketing;
Well organized and demonstrates attention to detail;
Good communication skills and ability to cultivate constructive relationship with a wide range of stakeholders including local communities, local society and government officials;
Experience in project management and a practical understanding of construction machinery will be an added advantage;
Ability to advice on the suitability, sufficiency, reliability and soundness of interpretation of technical information; and
Willingness to travel and spend considerable amount of time outside the office, which may include locations outside the head office in Nairobi.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesA. Investment Management
Manage existing investment portfolio and continuously monitor market trends making the necessary recommendations to the board
Research on viable investment opportunities and evaluate them including risk assessments then advice the board accordingly
Manage, support, and supervise the acquisition of new projects
Represent the company in AGM’s of investee companies
B. Project Management
Developing comprehensive plans and budgets for all projects
Coordinate implementation of the plans including management of all service providers and parties involved
Ensure delivery of the projects and any works undertaken to the agreed specifications
C. Board Coordination and Effectiveness
Adequately prep all Board members for meetings
Attend board meetings and implement all board decisions
Build and maintain excellent relationships and communication with directors and shareholders
D. Marketing and Member Coordination
Facilitate the preparation of share certificates and other similar documents for shareholders and investors
Develop and manage ember and client communication tools such as the corporate website, brochures and fliers and develop the corporate brand strategy
Proactively develop and improve products and services for uptake
Initiate marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market
E. Administration
Oversee all day to day operations of the company
Oversee proper organization of all company activities such as meetings, retreats, AGM’s, cocktails etc.
