Job Title: Hotel Manager

Industry: Hotel / Hospitality

Availability: Immediate

Location: Kitengela

Salary: 50k – 70kOur Client in the hotel industry is looking for a well seasoned Hotel Manager (Available immediately) to oversee a team of staff and take responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel, its occupancy levels and also its profitability.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in hotel, business or hospitality management
At least 3 years experience working for a hotel
Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills
Strong oral / written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Basic computing and filing skills

Key Responsibilities

Effectively managing the daily operations of the hotel.
Making sure that guests have a good first and last impression of the hotel.
planning and organizing accommodation, catering and other hotel services;
promoting and marketing the business;
managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure;
maintaining statistical and financial records;
setting and achieving sales and profit targets;
analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies;
recruiting, training and monitoring staff;
planning work schedules for individuals and teams;
meeting and greeting customers;
dealing with customer complaints and comments;
addressing problems and troubleshooting;
ensuring events and conferences run smoothly;
supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings;
dealing with contractors and suppliers;
ensuring security is effective;
carrying out inspections of property and services;
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
