Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team. This person will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts and managing commercial terms with customers. More specifically, the role will involve the following;
Assisting customers to understand financial models.
Responding to commercial and contract queries.
Managing legal outcomes.
Managing risks, and working with operations to guide, support and train customers.
Monitoring contracts and expectations from a commercial perspective.
The role is full-time, work hours will vary based on the time zones and projects globally. Extensive travel throughout the African Continent is envisaged so having appropriate passport(s) to easily obtain entry visa’s will be a factor in determining if you are the successful candidate.
Desired Skills and Experience
- To be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate;
- Experience in a commercial role at a senior level in a relevant industry (e.g. Telecommunications, IT, Retail or Service).
- Experience in managing commercial contract models.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and contract management.
- Leading a successful implementation of commercial processes and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with direct customer liaison.
- Proven ability to work with complex pricing/revenue models.
- Capability to operate as a trouble shooter where necessary on difficult contracts where commercial input is required to safeguard the companys’ interests and position.
- Ideally, you will also have legal and or accounting/analyst experience and a relevant business qualification.
