Together, we deliver measurable results that disrupt the cycle of poor health.We seek to recruit an M&E Advisor who will be responsible for overall coordination of DREAMS Project Monitoring and Evaluation activities. The position will ensure data quality at all levels of the data flow system; timely data capture into the DREAMS Management Information System (MIS); monthly data review meetings and quarterly reporting to the donor.

Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor Job Specific duties and responsibilities in Kenya

  • Lead to ensure that all M&E activities including routine monitoring and tracking of Implementation of the workplan through the project’s Dashboard is implemented according to plan.
  • Develop, manage and implement the M&E plan for the DREAMS Project.
  • Coordinate the project’s M&E team to ensure timely collection, processing and reporting of data.
  • Coordinate all project evaluations including baseline assessments, mid-term and end-term evaluations; and any other assessments.
  • Represent the project in M&E and related forums including USAID/PEPFAR meetings.
  • Lead in ensuring that data is captured and reported through the DATIM and KePMS data management and reporting systems.
  • Convene monthly data review meetings and ensure that recommendations from the meetings are implemented.
  • Lead in the compilation and finalization of the project’s quarterly and other relevant reports; including data that is required by the various teams responsible for write-ups.
  • Lead all data management efforts at all levels of the project interventions.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the project’s databases.
  • Gather information, provide feedback and technical editing.
  • Lead in preparation of data tables.
  • Ensure proper documentation of findings and lessons learnt.
  • Lead in ensuring data quality at site levels by carrying out routine data audit assessments and reviews.
  • Build the capacity of the M&E team, MOH stakeholders and sub-grantees on data management, reporting tools and indicator definitions.
  • Undertake training and supervision of short-term consultants when working on M&E data management assignments.

Required Skills for Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor Kenyan Jobs

  • Experience working in a USG funded project and a good understanding of DATIM and KePMS data/reporting systems is mandatory.
  • Experience working with the USAID funded APHIAPlus projects is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated working experience using Ministry of Health facility and community based data collection tools is also mandatory.
  • Good understanding and application of advanced Excel and at least one statistical package is necessary.
  • Good presentation skills using PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of Tableau software is an added advantage.
Required Experience
  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree with at least seven years’ experience supporting health facility and community based M&E activities. A relevant Masters’ degree will be an added advantage.
