Contract: 2 Years Fixed Term Contract

Salary Range: Kes.4,523,991.00 to Kes.5,058,820.00 pa

Based: Nairobi Kenya

Christian Aid is seeking an experienced and creative communications specialist to develop and help to deliver incountry communication plans for some key multi-country programmes delivering lasting change.
You’ll need experience of working internationally, first-rate communication and negotiating skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
 
About the role: In this varied and challenging role, you will promote programme work, advocacy and fundraising opportunities by ensuring that our work with partners and programmes in country is effectively communicated.
Working across two exciting new multi-country programmes, this role leads the development and implementation of impactful communication strategies to raise awareness and engagement.
The role will be responsible for developing content to communicate impact and to share lessons learnt.
You will develop multi-media communications campaigns and projects and champion the use of citizen-led communications.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to make a difference using communications skills and experience.
About you: You have a track record in developing and implementing multi-discipline communications strategies, preferably in a development and/or accountability context.
A communications all-rounder, you have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to manage the publishing process.
You have provided advice on media relationships and a track record in working with the media.
You have a passion for digital communications and an understanding of the potential of citizen led communications.
You will need excellent time and project management skills with experience of managing complex multi-media communications projects.
