Main purpose of the job
This position is a managerial position. The person will be required to:
Play an active role in developing line reports including: training, mentoring and coaching them where necessary;
Manage the day to day relationships with clients;
Ensure the smooth running of research projects from commissioning to final presentation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of researchers including, but not limited to; managing their performance appraisals, and providing them with training and development;
- Forge strong client relationships and high satisfaction levels by building strong rapport and trust;
- Assist the Associate Account Director/ Group Account Director in management of revenue budgets set for clients;
- Develop individual job costs, monitor job costs throughout the project and ensure profitability;
- Prepare proposals independently;
- Identify and act on new business opportunities amongst existing and new clients;
- Analyse data, draw recommendations and present to clients;
- Manage quality control and ensuring deadlines are met;
- Cost projects and monitor costs on projects;
- Contribute towards Millward Brown learning;
- Take responsibility for the project process that includes:
- Design of questionnaires/discussion guides;
- Preparation of all material for fieldwork/briefing fieldwork;
- Data and coding/checking and specking;
- Presentation preparation;
- Ensure all employees adhere to the requirements of our quality management system ISO20252.
Qualifications:
- Degree preferably in Research, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences
- Masters’ Degree in the above fields will be an added advantage
- At least 5+ years’ relevant market research experience in a research agency, client company, or management or marketing consultancy.
- Great knowledge of the Kenya market
