Summary: Our client is in the energy industry providing consultancy services and is looking to do heavy equipment rentals to companies who need it for short periods of time.

Job Summary: As the Business Development / Sales Associate, you will have joint responsibility for generating revenue, be responsible for identifying new customers and calling them on a regular basis to generate business and be speaking to existing customers to pro-actively identify future equipment requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identifying attractive business opportunities in Construction, Infrastructure or Event Planning sectors
• Ability to leverage contact network to develop new business
• Establishing effective lines of contact with targeted markets and players therein
• Ability to develop partners and intermediaries for expanded services offerings
• Ability to communicate directly to senior management and board of directors including submitting a weekly call list
• Maintain long-term, personal senior level relationships with key client prospects, intermediaries and partners
• Generate invitations to participate in Request for Proposals (RFPs) and respond to those requests
• Establish constructive and supportive working relationships with other members of the organization

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited college or university
• Minimum two years related experience in sales in relation to Construction, Infrastructure Projects or Event Planning
• Meaningful experience working in commission based direct sales related role
• Desired Skills and Attributes
• Must be self-driven and a self-starter
• Excellent and proven negotiation and closing skills
• Planning and organizing
• Initiative

The job will entail extensive domestic travel especially to remote areas
