Assist Unit Operational Risk Manager in coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance and operational risk management at the Business Unit level.
Implement controls within the Business Unit to meet all regulatory and internal requirements.
Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities and timely resolution of risk issues.
Perform the CSTs, KCIs, BKCSA, LKCSA & GKCSA at the unit and make sure that they’re robust and meet the expectation of UORM /BUH/ Group Internal Audit Team.
Ensure that KPI, KCI, and KRI numbers reported are accurate.
Ensure that Operational risk, near miss and operational losses are recorded in a timely manner, followed up for closure.
Ensure that all issues raised by UORM/HG&C/Group Internal Audit team are closed effectively within the agreed time frame.
Operational Risk Clerk Job Responsibilities
  • Support implementation of OR initiatives for the Business Unit.
  • Undertake periodic business monitoring (self-assessment) activities within the Business Unit and escalate findings and or breaches to Business Unit Head, UORM and HG&C when they occur.
  • Ensure risks and issues identified are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Assist UORM in the implementation of OR framework or other relevant OR initiatives.
  • Check the KPI/KRI numbers to ensure that these are accurate and reflect the right picture.
  • Cooordinate and conduct the unit level FORC meeting in the UORM’S absence. Attend to Operational Risk matters as assigned by the UORM and the Business Unit Head.
Qualifications For Operational Risk Clerk Jobs In Kenya
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high ability to challenge propositions to effectively identify the Root cause of an event.
  • Strong knowledge Credit Risk Policies and Procedures.
  • At least one year experience in Credit Risk Control Operations.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Operational Risk.
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision.
