Pursuant to the County Governments Act, 2012 section 59(1) (b): the County Government of Nyamira invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions:
ECDE Teachers – 406 POSTS
ECDE applicants must attach Certificate of Good Conduct while applicants for the post of Principal
Administrative Officer must satisfy conditions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
ECDE Teacher Job Responsibilities
- Organizing and facilitating play/learning activities to enable children cope with pre-school life
- Caring and nurturing moral social, mental and physical growth of children
- Managing ECDE centres, keeping professional records (schemes of work, lesson plans, and dairy programme activities etc.) and ensuring children’s safety and security
- Preparing and developing play/learning materials
- Have a Certificate or Diploma in ECDE from a recognized institution
- Must have one-year teaching experience, supported by a recommendation letter
- Must have Certificate of Good Conduct
- General coordination and maintenance of realistic and manageable diaries in the department
- To ensure all aspects of meetings/conferences are organized, agenda developed and prompt action taken maintaining timely responses to deadlines at all times
- To attend and minute meetings in the department as may be required
- To remain conversant with work-loads for Senior Management in order to assist with management of work-load and field enquires on service issues.
- To liaise with members of the public on behalf of the Department.
- To undertake tasks for the Senior Officers, Draft Concept Papers, project work and research as directed with minimal supervision
- To receive, sort and prioritize mail, and emails, redirecting as appropriate and responding to all routine correspondence without direction
- To provide administrative support together with other officers in the department when required
- Carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description and which are commensurate with the grade of the post besides; proofreading of minutes, organizing diaries, fielding calls, managing junior office staff and organizing travel arrangements, from time to time.
- Be a Kenyan Citizen
- Be a holder of a Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Business Studies, Corporate
- Communications or any other relevant Degree from a University recognized in Kenya. A Masters degree will be an added advantage
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of devolution, the County Development objectives and Vision 2030
- Be conversant with policy formulation and implementation
- Have knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than (10) years in public service or equivalent position in the private sector
