Job Purpose:
Ø Responsible for the development and maintenance of sales in our export countries to grow business in the region. Ø Implement short and long-term strategies to sustain growth in the region them with the aim of attaining the annual budget. Ø To work closely with distributors, stockists, farmers and other stake holders, to deliver on the annual budget and LRP Qualifications: Main Activities and
Tasks: Ø To participate in laying out as well as implementing strategies with the aim of attaining company goals such as hybridization. Ø To actively participate is marketing Monsanto products through conducting trainings, setting up demos, participating in agricultural shows and forums, distributing marketing materials etc with the aim of increasing sales. Ø To act as a Monsanto ambassador by always fostering the company’s good image in the day to day activities and contacts e.g. complaint resolution. Ø To have quarterly as well monthly forecast reviews with the aim of adjusting to stock levels and availability to avoid outcries in the market by giving correct advice on time. Ø To keep proper records and accurate reporting inorder to keep all informed on the happenings. Ø To assist in debt collection. Ø Do all CBTs and any other training mandated by Monsanto.
Required Qualifications:
1. Must Have: An Agricultural bachelor’s degree .
2. Important: Training in business related field such as Sales and marketing .
3. Nice to have: MBA Required Experience: Must Have : Experienced sales executive with typically 4 years relevant experience in the agricultural industry. Important: Technical knowledge. Nice to have: Good public relation
Required Skills:
1. Must Have: Ø Computer literate Ø Good communication skills both orally and written. Ø Team player. Ø Result oriented Ø Strategic and a good planner. Ø Self drive – able to work with minimum supervision. Important: Ø Leadership and organizational skills. Ø Good driving skills. Ø Analytical skills . Nice to have: Open mind. Required talents: · Good communication skill : Should have ease in developing relationships both within the organization and networks in the industry Monsanto Global Competencies Critical for Success: Ø Relationship & Networks : Ø Result Orientation: Technical Competencies Critical for Success: Ø To keep abreast with latest findings in agricultural technology, agricultural researches, IT etc. Ø Have excellent intelligence on what is happening in the market in terms of competitors, competitor products, new marketing approaches etc. Ø Avoid becoming obsolete by reading agricultural journals, books, newspapers etc. General (e.g. travel etc) Ø Extensive travel – 90% of the time mainly around Western, Nyanza and rift valley ( The company has the right to change regions as it deems fit) Required Qualifications: 1. Must Have: An Agricultural bachelor’s degree .
