Kimetrica Procurement and Corporate Services Specialist Job


Kimetrica is seeking a full time Procurement and Corporate Services Specialist for its Nairobi, Kenya Regional Office.
Kimetrica is an international company with a diverse and highly skilled staff, ranging from software developers to economists to subject specialists in project and disaster risk management.
The Procurement and Corporate Services Specialist will be responsible the procurement function and overall management of office travel and corporate services.
The ideal candidate will have at a degree in a business related filed and least three years of experience in a similar position.

The Procurement and Corporate Services Specialist will report directly to the Operations Manager.

The position’s responsibilities include the following:

Procurement
  • Ensure that all Procurement procedures are followed.
  • Assist in the development of local policies and procedures in procurement, to ensure, timely, transparent and cost-effective sourcing, purchasing and payment.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for various commodities and services, in line with the needs of Kimetrica staff and projects.
  • Maintaining relevant records and documentation related to procurement.
  • Liaising with Program managers to ensure correct and timely delegation of procured assets.
Office Services
  • Manage office security and implement full access control measures.
  • Ensure that the Kimterica premises are clean, attractive, safe and comfortable for employees and visitors.
  • Supervise front desk operations.
  • Supervise the Office Assistant and Logistics Office/Driver.
Asset Management and Insurance
  • Create or update the Asset Register as required.
  • Ensure that all Kimetrica assets are appropriately tagged, tracked and maintained.
  • Ensure that all Kimetrica assets are adequately insured, and handle all claims relating to the same.
  • Maintain all repair and maintenance logs.
  • Assist in recovery of assets when required.
  • Assist in asset disposal when required.
Travel Management
  • Liaise with Project Managers to identify travel requirements and develop timely travel plans. Coordinate ticketing, hotel bookings, travel insurance and visas and other travel needs.
  • Ensure that all travel is appropriately authorized, internally and externally.
  • Brief travelers on per diem rates, entitlements, allowable expenses and other policies.
  • Brief travelers on documentation requirements and assist in procuring the same when necessary.
  • Ensure staff compliance with travel expense policies and reporting systems.
  • Ensure travelers are adequately insured and informed of their insurance coverage.
  • Ensure that the correct procedures are followed by staff when travelling to insecure locations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field
  • 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Excellent IT skills and familiarity with cloud computing and ERP systems
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously to meet various deadlines
