Reporting to the Chief Administration Officer, the Quantity Surveyor shall be responsible for project cost accounting, description and specification of construction technology and methodology.
The key responsibilities for this position are;
- Undertaking cost accounting for all projects to be undertaken
- Description and specification of construction technology and methodology
- Quantification and costing of building works
- Measurement and valuation of works
- Technical Assessment, inspection and tests of materials and works
- Construction contracts administration
- Analysis and application of laws, by-laws, standards and codes in respect to building construction.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Building Economics or related field from a recognized institution. Registration with the Board of Registration for Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS)
- Six (6) years relevant working experience
- Understanding Project Costing and Contract Administration
- Good Communication and Presentation skills
- Initiative, Innovation and Drive for results
- IT User skills
