IEBC Training Coordinator Job July 2015


The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) seeks to recruit a dynamic, competent and result-oriented individual to fill the following position:
Training Coordinator
Grade 5

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the Commission’s electoral training materials contain appropriate training content as per the relevant Electoral Laws in Kenya.
  • Assist the Manager, Electoral Training in initiating and formulating electoral training policies and procedures in the Commission.
  • In liaison with Director, Voter Registration and election Operations, identify, coordinate, select electoral training of trainers programmes and ensure the commission has a pool of electoral trainers.
  • Preparing electoral training manuals and tools for training at appropriate times.
  • Recommend appropriate training for electoral officers in liaison with Director, Voter Registration and Election Operations and Director, Human Resources and Administration.
  • Management and safe custody of electoral training records.
Requirements for Appointment
  • An officer must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Education.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Have four (4) years of relevant experience in a busy organization.
  • Practical experience in training and capacity building
  • Integrity Clearance
In addition to the qualifications set above, the applicants must further meet and get the following clearances:
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)
Chief Executive Officer, Higher Education Loans Board
Professional bodies (where applicable) to which the applicant belongs e.g. LSK, ICPAK, AAK, IEK etc
Credit Reference Bureau Africa Ltd or Metropol Credit Reference Bureau
Security Clearance: All shortlisted applicants may be subjected by the Commission to a security clearance by National Intelligence Service (NIS)
