Job description

Role Responsibility:
  • Record, track, trace and take action on all claims in a reasonable and transparent timeframe
  • Ensure that all claims are corrected recorded and institute a tracking procedure for proper follow up to closure
  • Follow-up, check and record business unit actions and updates for each claim
  • Compile a monthly claims update to the MD to demonstrate departmental effectiveness or otherwise in handling customer claims
  • Liaise with the company’s insurance on various matters pertaining to claims
  • Investigate customer claims and advice on levels of liability
  • Submit periodic claims reports on time (weekly, monthly etc.)
  • Compile Claims Committee minutes
  • Convene the Monthly Claims Committee meetings
  • Process claims within the stipulated timelines
The Ideal Candidate:
  • University degree in Business, Insurance or Law
  • At least three years experinece dealing with claims in fast paced environment
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office Suite
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player and demonstrated leadership skills
