Area Managers
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plan and implement strategies for improved revenue generation to ensure that revenue targets are met,
- Ensure that disconnections / reconnections are timely effected and in accordance with the company policies and procedures,
- Ensure that all new water connections are processed and effected in accordance with established company procedures and standards,
- Plan and implement meter reading strategies geared towards improved revenue generation,
- Ensure that a proactive program for control of illegal use of water is implemented,
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the management,
- Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering, or Water Technology, or
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, or Water Technology and 10 years’ experience in a water utility,
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Technology or Social Sciences shall be an added advantage,
- Proven honesty, integrity and reliability,
- Five years’ experience in a water utility company shall be an added advantage,
- Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications,
Duties / Responsibilities
- Participate in the formulation and implementation of sound financial and accounting policies, systems and procedures,
- Maintenance of all company asset registers and financial reports,
- To advise management on Company performance in terms of costs and profitability,
- To prepare financial management reports, budgets and forecasts,
- To monitor and report on budgets against expenditure,
- Supervise staff in the department,
- CPA (K) and Registered member of relevant professional body,
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field shall be added advantage,
- Five years in a related field with three years at a supervisory level,
- Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications,
- Interpersonal and communication skills,
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines,
- Honesty, integrity and reliability.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Development, implementation and management of a comprehensive ICT strategy/policy covering financial management, billing, customer care, procurement, human resource management among others,
- Implementation and management of WAN/LANs linking all company offices,
- Maintenance and management of all ICT hard/software within the company,
- Monitoring of developments in ICT technology and drawing to the attention of the company the opportunities and/or threats associated with the same,
- Preparation of management reports
- A degree in computer science from a recognized university,
- Postgraduate qualifications in computer science or related field is an added advantage,
- Minimum of Three (3) years post qualification experience,
- Demonstrable exposure on basic professional knowledge of networking, internet technologies, database design and operations, office applications, GIS and common hardware and peripherals,
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
