Vacancy: Human Resources Associate
1 Position

Role Description: The role of the Human Resources Associate includes but is not limited to:

HR Administration
  • Responsible for maintaining and up-dating employee files / records
  • Ensure timely inclusion of employees in the relevant schemes upon employment / confirmation
  • Responsible for regular updating of the leave register on the HRIS
  • Responsible for onboarding and off boarding of employees
  • Assist in preparing letters and employee contracts.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance issues are addressed
Recruitment
  • Assists in the overall recruitment process as guided by the HR Manager
  • Shortlisting of candidates as guided by the HR Manager
  • Schedules for interviews and makes calls to invite candidates
  • Ensure all recruitment policies and procedures and techniques are adhered to
  • Verifies candidates background by contacting referees
  • Make offers and send declines
  • Employee Relations and Welfare
  • Assists the HR Manager in providing guidance on company policies and procedures and in-country legislation to line management and other employees
  • Assist in handling employee grievances
  • Assists in the co-ordination of staff welfare initiatives
  • General
  • Coordination and completion of ad hoc HR projects as and when they arise;
  • Any other duty informed by the HR Manager
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in Human Resource Management in a busy work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
  • Post graduate professional qualification in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage
  • Good working knowledge of the Labor Laws
  • Excellent skills in use of Ms Office packages
  • Excellent Planning, Organizing/Work Management Skills & Attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
  • Pleasant personality, self-driven and able to work under minimum supervision
