Our client is a non-profit private company registered in Kenya.
Its main objective is to improve the food security and livelihoods of small-scale farmers by improving their access to appropriate farm inputs and information on their use.Position: Accountant (Full Time)

Duties and Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of the Finance & Administration Manager, the Accountant will carry out any and all functions of the Accounts department.
These include but are not limited to:
  • Posting of vouchers
  • Reconciliations
  • Preparation of cheques
  • Banking
  • Petty Cash management
  • Cash advance management (reconciling staff IOU amounts)
  • Supporting operational departments and administrative functions through provision of accounting guidance, clarification and correction
Qualifications and Competencies

Required:
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Finance & Accounting / Administration)
  • CPA (K) qualifications up to at least Part 2
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
  • High level computer skills in Excel, QuickBooks, and Word
  • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience
Desirable
  • NGO or non-profit experience
  • Experience with large donor-funded projects and their reporting and accounting/admin requirements, especially agricultural based projects
