VSO Jitolee, an independent INGO registered in Kenya, and governed by a local board, is a member of the VSO Federation.
We are based in Nairobi with a regional mandate to promote volunteerism and recruit skilled professionals from the region to serve as volunteers in VSO’s country programmes.
In addition, VSO Jitolee works in partnership with government agencies, local and international organisations to contribute to national development in Kenya.
VSO Jitolee is looking for a highly motivated Business Resourcing and Partnerships Manager to take lead in developing and implementing an appropriate corporate engagement strategy to facilitate commercial partnerships to raise funds for the organisation.
The successful candidate will also be expected to take lead in sourcing a diverse range of volunteers to meet the demands of our country programs.
You will be a Bachelor’s Degree holder with excellent knowledge of development issues.
You will have at least five years’ relevant experience in establishing and cultivating strong resource and corporate partnerships that have delivered substantial income.
You will also have experience in recruitment marketing.
Your experience of business development and project management will be critical to your success in this role.
You will have strong analytical skills and ability to conceptualize a Return on Investment Analysis.
You will have excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building and problem solving skills.
Experience of working with colleagues from different cultures will be an added advantage.
Ability to be self-directed and take initiative within organisational mandates will be critical for this role.
