Standard Chartered Bank Job Vacancy in Kenya: Business Analyst
Job description
⢠Work in liaison with business functions across Africa to ensure standardisation of system versions, processes and procedures
⢠The Implementation and monitoring of Know Your Customer & CRM measures in line with Group and Regulatory requirements.
⢠Assist in facilitating and promoting understanding of operational risk and in implementation and management of OR within the Unit.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
⢠Ensure that system enhancements implemented have the relevant process flows /Departmental Operating Instructions updated by business and signed off within acceptable time frames
⢠Actively identify process gaps for appropriate dispensation and/ or amendments
⢠In liaison with IT, highlight version variances on the core banking system (EBBS and others) and interfaces (e.g., LOS/Marcis, ADC, Card world, sparrow, collections, Opics, IDS, among others) with a view to suggesting enhancements for closing the version divergences
⢠Partner with the Business functions in coordinating testing and reviewing Process flows
⢠Actively guide the business in developing and reviewing cross functional value maps
⢠Work closely with the Regional Data Centre in indentifying, documenting and suggesting practical system improvements for the core systems and interfaces. Consistently evaluate current systems with a view to identifying their inherent risks and remedial steps thereof
⢠Perform comprehensive post implementation reviews on new projects, system enhancements and fixes applied on the production infrastructure.
⢠Carry out ad hoc reviews as indicated by Senior Management
⢠To ensure that the standards of security and control are met and that transactions are processed in standard formats
⢠The Implementation and monitoring of KYC & CRM measures in line with Group and Regulatory requirements
⢠Risk related responsibilities:
⢠To report unit’s Operational Risks issues and losses to UORM/RP
⢠To identify and report all exceptions on non compliance with standard controls
⢠To identify and report all weaknesses inherent in the standard controls
⢠To maintain proper record keeping on all KCSA related activities in area of responsibility
Qualifications and Skills
⢠A recognized University degree in an MIS/IT/ Business related discipline
⢠Over 5 years experience
⢠Project Management skills
⢠Business Analysis skills
⢠High degree of analytical, communication and inter-personal skills required
⢠Good presentation skills
⢠Knowledge of operating processes and procedures
⢠Knowledge of bank’s practices, rules and regulations
⢠Knowledge of local banking procedures and relevant regulations
⢠Excellent team working skills
⢠Strong training and facilitation skills
⢠Risk awareness
Good to have:
⢠Strategy consulting experience
⢠Experience in implementing digital bank products. Organization and Methods training / certification
