We are currently recruiting for our client a group of companies in the FMCG industry .

Senior Research Officer.

Key Result Areas:

  • Uses professional concepts in consultation and guidance of his manager in accordance with company goals to solve complex problems in a creative and effective ways.
  • Executes process validation/equipment qualification process and maintains files of lab tests, test procedures and protocols, formulations’ and calculations.
  • Investigates, creates and develops new methods and technologies for project advancement
  • Will be involved in new process mapping, laboratory trials, pilot scaling and mass balance development of new product development projects.
  • Maybe involved in project teams which include participation from other departments and /or external agencies
  • May participate in external seminars and scientific conferences
  • Provide day to day supervision of part time staff engaged in project implementation
  • Is responsible for project data collection and project record keeping
  • Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analysis
Knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience for Senior Research Officer Jobs in Kenya
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Chemical engineering or Chemistry/ Applied chemistry.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar job, one of which must be in a chemical laboratory.
  • Knowledge of and practical experience in statistical data analysis is required.
  • Must exhibit proficiency in computer use, Excel, word, power point. Use of statistical software Minitab and Chemicals engineering drawing tools such as MS
  • Visio will be an added advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in multisectoral/multicultural teams
