Required: Procurement Officer Main Purpose of the Role:
To oversee the procurement of products both imports and local for effective operations of the company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure best pricing for all products purchased, correct specification and quality
- Ensure timely payment of suppliers by Finance Department as per agreed terms.
- Monitoring of stock levels to ensure timely preparation and processing of orders for both local and imports
- Ensure that goods are shipped from the supplier and cleared with customs on time.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received and update all departments
- Familiarization of applicable custom tariffs for all product categories.
- Custodian of all products under warranty/guarantee policies from manufacturer/supplier and advice/educate sales and technical personnel
- Ensure faulty and under warranty/guarantee items are returned to supplier on timely bases.
- Ensure goods are delivered, offloaded and confirmed as per packing list
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Bachelors in Business Management – Purchasing and Supplies Management Option
- Over two years’ experience in handling BULK IMPORTS from various International Suppliers
- Business Management Skills
- Leadership and Supervisory Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Computer Skills
- Good understanding of Business environment
- Decision Making skills
