Position: Procurement (Buyer)

Location: Kenya

Reporting To: Merchandising Manager

Salary: Competitive

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute category strategies
• Conduct buying visits
• Proper understanding of the African and other related markets
• Effective management of sales, profit, margin, stock turns & collections
• Ensuring all product ranges are appropriate for all specific African countries
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers
• Identify supply opportunities locally
• Ensure cost saving & expense control against budgets
• Foster relationship with African planners

Experience and Education

• Buyer experience in a supermarket/ hypermarket MANDATORY

• Diploma/Degree in commerce /finance
