Vacancy Position: Part Time Research Supervisor (1 Position)
Location: Kisumu
Essential Requirements:
- Applicants should have attained an advanced tertiary education certificate (diploma or degree in nursing, MPH, development related studies)
- Previous household survey experience
- Ability to write brief reports and keep records
- Must be resident of Kisumu
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency in oral and written Dholuo, English and Swahili languages
- Team player, courteous, respectful, proactive, conscientious, punctual, honest and hardworking
assisting with recruitment and training of 2 data collectors,
pilot testing of data collection instruments,
overseeing household level data collection among women of reproductive age in central Kisumu, and
additional duties as needed to ensure collecting timely and accurate data on women health and demographic characteristics in Kisumu over a 2 month period (July 2015 and June 2016), with some part-time effort in between.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment of 2 data collectors
- Assist with training of data collectors
- Assist with pilot testing of data collection instruments
- Assist with implementation of data collection in select households in Kisumu
- Attend all meetings on time and report on progress of work
- Adhere strictly to the project deadlines for completion of duties assigned
- Perform any other duties assigned by the principal investigator
