One Acre Fund Job Vacancy in Kenya : Human Resources Generalist


Job description
  • The majority of our staff is employed at our Kenyan country program which was our first country program. To ensure that we provide excellent people services to these employees, we would like to hire an experienced HR Generalist who can execute varied projects effectively within a fast-paced work environment. You would be supporting our Kenya HR leadership as well our international people operations function on a variety of high priority initiatives. This role would be largely project based working on short to medium term high priority projects as determined by Kenya leadership and the international people operations team. Some example projects include:
  • Better organizing our employment system for casual workers to ensure all One Acre employment of casual workers is efficient, transparent and fair.
  • Design and develop a support system to ensure a high level of payroll system standardization across our country programs in East Africa.
  • Research, trial and implement an HRIS solution for Kenya operations with a view to expand across other One Acre Fund countries of operation.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • We are seeking an exceptional professionals with 2 years of work experience. Candidates who fit the following criteria are strongly encouraged to apply:
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources Management
  • We require a Bachelors or Master’s degree from a Kenyan or international university with an excellent final grade point average
  • You have a strong personality and you are values driven: You are independent, self-confident, and humble at the same time
  • You are capable of and have demonstrated experience in managing a small team, owning projects, and delivering results to an excellent standard
If you currently do not live in Bungoma (Western Kenya), we require you to relocate for this position.
