Job Title: Sales Representative

Department: Business Development

Reporting to: Managing Director

Liaising with (Departments): Training, Property Management

Duration: Contract

Job Summary: The incumbent of this position shall achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and
account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services.
Personally contacts and secures new business accounts / customers.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and develops business relationships with prospective customers in the assigned market/territory segment to generate new business for all Mwanzoni products and services.
  • Develop plans for advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling and sales management.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and
  • Set goals for market share and growth.
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Accomplishes marketing and organization objectives by completing related results as needed.
  • Maintains the CRM Records.
  • Ability to multitask and sell a variety of professional services products at the same time.

Job Specification
Technical skills: Experience in a high sales generation environment; consistent track record of success in achieving and succeeding sales targets; proven ability in targeting new business opportunities; a confident negotiator with proven ability to close the deal; a positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
Industry experience: Knowledge of the market, current media issues, social media, competitor behavior and strategy.

Personal qualities: Ability to generate ideas and solutions; self-motivated and results driven; excellent relationship
Devotion: Take your work responsibilities seriously and be committed to the company’s objectives.
Management skills; team player; innovative; a genuine interest in news and current affairs; excellent organizational and time, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Proactive determined business hunter.

Computer skills: Good Microsoft office suite competence, CRM competence.

Language skills: Fluent English.
Communication skills: Exemplary communication skills – both face to face, over the telephone and on email. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
Professional: High professional standards especially when dealing with existing or possible clients.
Education:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Sales and Marketing.
  • Membership to a professional body will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in selling golf products/services would be desirable.
