Sales Manager – Onsite Energy (Diesel Systems)
Territory: East & Central Africa

Location: Nairobi

Industry: Motor Industry – Tyres

Our client, whose main product lines include Tyres, Engines, Drills, Transmissions, Earthmoving & other equipments; Consumables & Accessories in the Off -highway segment and Saloon Cars, 4X4 Passenger vehicles, Pick Ups, Light Commercial & Heavy Trucks, Tippers, Tyres, Spare Parts, Tools & Accessories in the On-highway segment is seeking to recruit a Sales Manager.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting the value proposition, products and services of the organization.
He/she will also be responsible for responding in a timely manner to incoming requests for quotes; applications assistance and resolving customer issues as well as following up on quotes, opportunities, and leads and maintain account relations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the Sales including Tender business of products related with Oil & Gas Industry both On & Off shore
  • Responsible for achieving budgets – Sales, GP, NP and Net Working Capital
  • Manage the Key Accounts that contribute over 80% of the business
  • Develop working relations with Key customers of major players of Oil & Gas including the contractors.
  • Tender business, Preparing Technical and commercial Offers
  • Develop working relationship with ministries, consultants, third party service providers etc.
  • To keep track of competition move, their products, price, performance.
  • Responsible for keeping the Principals /Manufactures updated about the market information and competition activities
  • Manage the Key Accounts that contribute over 80% of the business
  • Develop working relations with Key customers of major players of Power generation including the contractors, collaborators, subsidiaries and public sector undertaking generating power
  • To manage, develop, innovate various schemes, $/Unit of power, BOLT, BOT etc. to acquire sales
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Minimum of 12 -15 years’ experience in Sales and at least 5 years in managerial position..
  • Should be a preferably an engineering graduate from a premier institute with post-graduation in management specialized in Sales/marketing from a reputed institution.
  • Should have experience in Onsite Energy and Oil & Gas Industry selling products, services.
  • Should have experience in rental business and operating lease.
  • Certified by energy auditor will be preferred.
  • Overseas experience will be preferred.
  • Should be computer savvy and should be proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and in a team of multi culturesat all organizational levels, both inside and outside of the organization
  • Should be able to respond well to pressure
  • Candidate must be organized and methodical
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills
  • Should be proactive and able to take the initiative
  • Must be able to motivate and inspire a team
  • Should be well presented with a professional manner
  • Quality of being persuasive and diplomatic should be present
  • Improving Customer Services:
  • To be responsible for customer satisfaction.
  • To be committed in supplying products and services to exceed customer expectation.
  • Execute assignments with sense of urgency.
  • To take the ownership of the assignments.
  • To liaise effectively with Sales, Service, Parts and Finance Departmental Managers.
  • To develop team work
  • Provide onsite training to sales staff and involve them in departmental achievements.
