Messenger Urgently Needed

Industry: Manufacturing – Milk processing.

Location: Nairobi.

Sameer Agriculture and Livestock (K) Limited is a leading milk processor of Dairy products in the region with a wide range of Daima products under its portfolio.
We are seeking to recruit a Messenger whose overall responsibility will be collection and delivery of the company’s mail, documents and parcels from and to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery mail, documents and parcels outside the office premises in a timely manner and per the company’s guidelines
• Delivery of all collected documents, mail and parcels at the central distribution point for disbursement to other department.
• Maintaining, updating and recording information of all documents delivered and collected.
• Making timely payments as instructed for both office and clients related matters.
• Collection of correspondences from various places as may be assigned.
• Collecting letters from the post office and making deliveries to assigned destinations
• Delivery and collection of cheques and statements.
• Assisting in distributing letters from and to various departments within the organization
• Collect and Sort letters, tenders, parcels etc to be delivered according to the delivery route
• Delivery of documents, mails and any other parcels to clients, suppliers, service providers etc
• Collect parcels, documents, letters etc from suppliers, service providers, customers etc
• Record information on all collections and deliveries done in a day
• Ensure that deliveries and collections are signed for
• Perform general office or clerical work such as filing, printing, scanning, photocopying, or running errands.

Desired Education Background, Experience, Competencies and Skills;

• O level qualification, KCSE, C+.
• At least two years working experience as a messenger.
• A valid driving license (motor vehicle / Motor cycle ) will be an added advantage.
• Certificate of good conduct.
• Familiarity with Nairobi and it’s environs.
• Must be trustworthy and a person of integrity
