They are looking for an innovative Brand Manager to help with the brand development.
The Brand Manager will report to the Head of Commercial.Job Purpose
To ensure that the brand remains relevant to target market and all brand initiatives support the brand promise.
To implement develop brand plans and executing projects and initiatives across the country that support the boarder short and long-term marketing strategy as well as overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for elements of consumer marketing and brand administration, including brand strategy, consumer and trade promotions, consumer research and analysis, market analysis, product development, pricing, advertising, packaging development, financial analysis and budget management
- Responsible for implementing brand strategy within in the country in close collaboration with Program heads and key distributors.
- Identify and analyze product performance information, anticipate problems and contingency plans to ensure portfolio success.
- Manage marketing and customer driven programs including annual planning, brand presentations, overall Shopper Marketing Insights and category guidelines.
- Develop and maintain monthly update reports on sales, marketing budgets, profitability and provide detailed input to be used by senior management for strategic planning
- Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position, raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue, apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.
- Lead, develop, mentor and coach the brand assistant teams and ensure excellent performance of KPIs for the department.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing or Business Administration.
- Candidates who have had exposure in managing multinational FMCG brands such as Haco, PZ Cussons P&G, Unilever, Nestle…etc will have an added advantage.
- Professional certification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
- Membership with the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK)
- An MBA will be added advantage.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in FMCG with preference in the health sector is highly desirable.
