Head of Sales & Marketing Job in Kenya

Head of Sales & MarketingWe are a Leading top 100 medium sized firm in Kenya dealing with Sale of Fleet Management and Logistical Services.
The successful candidate must have strong sales background with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience with proven track record in developing national sales strategies and building world-class sales and marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sales and marketing strategy
• Provide the planning and leadership to the marketing department.
• Following up and participating in Global Tenders, association with local companies, managing tender document preparation, proper submission.
• Creating new opportunities for promotion of new products based on an in-depth understanding of market potential, competition, market pricing, factors for success and our competitive advantage
• Utilizes market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to generate leads and conversion within strategic tiers
• Tracks sales leads, wins, losses and follow up in our CRM
• To develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new business to an agreed monthly target
• Timely submission of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
• Team building, maintenance and participation.
• Visiting clients and associates, developing new potential clients and developing new sales opportunities from existing accounts.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Sales and Marketing/Degree in I.T/ Engineering with sales background
• At least 5 years experience in Sales &marketing
• Ready to work in a challenging environment
• Ready to travel
• Must have demonstrated success in selling in highly competitive markets.
• Broad functional experience in strategic planning and business & market development.
• Computer literate using MS office.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent supervisory skills and leadership skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
