Financial Institution ICT Manager Job

A well established financial institution with a countrywide coverage wishes to recruit a suitable person for the following position:
ICT Manager

Three Years Renewable Contract (Once)

Job Purpose: To be responsible for overall IT and communication solutions of the Organization.
Main Duties

• Develop and implement the ICT policy and procedures
• Design and manage the local Area Network (LAN) and set up a database of centralized file/ records management.
• Design, develop and updating software, hardware and provide technical support to users.
• Being in charge of ICT, includes coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the ICT needs of the users
• Data Analysis, information review and analysis of policies, procedures and systems of the vision 2030 and MTP
• Develops, implement and manage data processing systems
• Organize a help desk
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems;
• Researching and installing new systems;
• Guaranteeing the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision;
• Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to;
• Providing secure access to the network for remote users including security of data from internal and external attack;
• Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems;
• Mentoring and training new ICT support staff;
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
• Provide user support for staff on matters involving ICT

Qualifications / Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or a similar computer-oriented major
• A Master’s degree in information, communication Technology or computer science, Telecommunications or Engineering or related discipline
• Product and/ or system certifications will be an added advantage. • A minimum of 5 years of specialized relevant experience in supporting ICT infrastructure systems in a complex environment may be accepted in lieu of Master’s degree
• CISCO (CCNE) and /or Microsoft certification (MCSE) are required
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience in the field of ICT (hardware and software) installation, operation, Maintenance and Management of network and communications equipment.
• Experience in management of networks and web-based applications
• Strong working knowledge of GOK system rules, regulations procedures and practices.
